I’ve never liked bottled salad dressing. There are so many chemicals and junky things like hydrogenated oils and sugar added to them too. Dressing is a super-simple thing to make at home. This one is great as is or you can add any herbs, like chives, basil, rosemary, mint, or even change up the seasonings. Smoked paprika or a touch of soy sauce and and maple are delicious. Take the extra minute to mince onion and garlic instead of using the powders. It makes this dressing really pop!
1/2 cup of Salad Oil Substitute
Juice of one lemon or lime
1 teaspoon of coconut aminos or soy sauce
1 clove of garlic, minced
1 teaspoon of minced onion
Black pepper to taste
Whisk all the ingredients together to combine. Let the dressing sit in the fridge for at least one hour before serving to mellow out and allow the flavors to blend.
