This is a super easy to prepare chutney that pairs well with aloo tikki, samosas, and pakoras. In India, they even eat chutney sandwiches! Hari means green in hindi so you better believe this chutney utilizes several green ingredients. Omit the jalapeno if you can’t handle heat.
RECIPE
1 bunch of washed cilantro
1/4 inch chunck of ginger
1 tablespoon of lime juice
1 inch wedge of onion
1/2 teaspoon each of cumin and chaat masala
Salt, to taste
1/2 – 1 jalapeno depending upon how spicy you want the chutney (I threw the entire pepper in, but you can take out the seeds if you don’t like it too spicy)
Water
METHOD
Add everything to a blender and add just enough water to get everything moving. You want this to be thick. Blend well and chill until ready to serve.
